Thousands of heads

Available on Google Store,  Apple Store soon .

from September 2016 and coming soon to our online store at a price accessible to professionals and families alike.

This app is the logical follow-up to the magnetic game Hundreds of Heads.

The aim of both is to enable users to express emotions by creating faces, element by element.

4 keys are available on the Home page

Creating expressions: access the face design page;

Albums: create named and dated albums for each child with faces they have created, photos of them making the expressions themselves and, if you wish, sounds to go with these;

Sounds: a repertoire of sounds to go with different expressions. Children can also create their own sounds using the Microphone icon;

Help key along the game.

Working on emotions and how to express them

Children can:

– change the faces as often as they like

– play around with expressions by spinning the facial elements round on the tablet with their fingers

– mimic the emotion created on screen and then capture it on photo (photos of themselves, their teacher, care worker, friends and relations, etc.)

– use the selfie function to check the emotion shown on their own face before taking a photo

– add sounds, either by choosing one from the sound repertoire or by recording a new one (a noise, an onomatopoeic sound, a word or a phrase)

– add a screen saver/wallpaper

This is a game that can be played as a family or on your own. It was designed especially as a special education tool. As such, it has several possibilities:

Screensaver / Wallpaper: to help with space-time awareness.

Eg: The child creates a picture of their mother’s face. The teacher adds a photo of some luggage, a plane or the place where Mum currently. Mum is away on a trip. The expression and background can be printed and stuck on the child’s calendar so they know where Mum is and (especially) when she’s coming home.

Personal album: This keeps each patient’s work confidential and allows the expressions they have created to be retrieved and worked on over a period of time.

A named and dated album can be recorded for each user, with all their work, expressions, photos and sound recordings.

The elements inside each album can be moved around at will.

An album for the teacher or parents: This can help parents and teachers prepare a work session with the child, or help him/her discover an emotion, understand it, grasp its nuances and identify its opposite.

It can also be used to work on vocabulary and on classifying or ranking elements.

All you need to do is copy an expression, photo or sound and paste it into a new album so parents and teachers can share it.

Communication pictogrammes:

You can us the expressions and photos created as pictogramme to help the child communicate.

Use the sound function to associate an audio message with the pictogramme.

Share pictogrammes with relative and teachers by email or print-out.

In order to ensure that work with the child remains confidential and protect under-age users, we have deliberately chosen not to add links to social media to this game. Nothing created in this game (expressions, photos, sounds) can be used outside the app unless it is saved on a tablet or forwarded by email.

The more the child uses this game, the more they will enjoy drawing, touching the screen and recording sounds. In short, they will learn more and more through play.

For parents and teachers, the possibility of creating personal albums for each child means it can be adapted to the individual needs and desires of every member of the family.
